Does the Karat have have any wing stagger. Most designs seem to have some positive stagger but looking at the interplane strut arrangement on the Karat it may have no stagger or possibly negative stagger. While positive stagger may improve lift efficiency this doesn’t make sense with an aircraft that spends half it’s time inverted where positive then becomes negative stagger. I guess the best arrangement would be zero stagger. Maybe aerodynamically stagger doesn’t matter that much and then it just becomes a style issue, where a little positive stagger “looks nice” when the model is sitting on the ground and it looks right.
What do you mean by positive or negative stagger?

Isaac, silly question. How do you clean the fuse after wet sanding with dish washer soup?

Thanks.

Hi Isaac
My understanding is that positive stagger has the top wing forward of the bottom and negative the top is behind the bottom. With no stagger the top and bottom wing LE would be inline/square to each other with reference to the fuselage datum.

Hi,
This is not a silly question, after wet sanding I clean with soft cloth and methanol.
Best regards,

Beautiful work Isaac. After all the years of following your other builds, I have only 2 questions. What is the name or model number of this particular spray gun and the size needle you normally use to achieve these painting results? Thanks in advance.

Hello Isaac.

I am enjoying reading through all of your build threads and they are teaching me so much. I have a couple of questions:

1. what type / brand of paints do you use?
2. What is the purpose of the Patifix self-adhesive?

thanks, Bill

That Patifix is thin felt layer on sticker. Reduces vibration and noice, also wear of contact surfaces.

I kinda thought that's what it might be. I've just never seen it pictured on any build threads before.

Thanks
