This is all composite kit made by FalconHobby.
A lot of thinking was putting in the designing of this plane, I like it were much.
The kit quality is excellent !!!

Looking forward to this one! I've been assembling two Karats for quite some time now. One of them is pretty ready for paint and hopefully I'll have it painted when the weather warms up.

The second thing is writing an Excel worksheet with all the parts weights and the moments from the planning C.G.
The moments are used to know in advance where the motor battery tray will be and how much the battery should be moved in order to move the C.G. 1 cm' so the battery tray can be planned properly.
In glow planes, one can know in advance, if the plane is going to be tail or nose heavy and try to eliminate the problem.
I update the Excel during the course of the building process with the actual weights and mark them in green.
The KARAT Excel enclosed herewith,
Sorry for the Hebrew,
Best regards,
Isaac Najary

Hello Isaac,
interesting report, I will follow it closely.
But too bad I don't know Hebrew.
Can you please give the total bodyshell weight of the model in grams. I think that would help not only me, but also quite a few others.
Greetings
Gerhard

After only 26 days, the plane is ready for the painting process!!!
I have to say that this plane is top top quality, everything is super straight and the money value is excellent.

Nice work Isaac
Does the Karat have have any wing stagger. Most designs seem to have some positive stagger but looking at the interplane strut arrangement on the Karat it may have no stagger or possibly negative stagger. While positive stagger may improve lift efficiency this doesn’t make sense with an aircraft that spends half it’s time inverted where positive then becomes negative stagger. I guess the best arrangement would be zero stagger. Maybe aerodynamically stagger doesn’t matter that much and then it just becomes a style issue, where a little positive stagger “looks nice” when the model is sitting on the ground and it looks right.
