Buddy of mine just finished his with the YS110 at 7lbs. 3oz.......no lipo's either.

When he gets used to flying at 1/4 throttle through the 402, he will score very well. Above 1/2 throttle with a 15x10 it is a bullet.

Almost zero pitch or coupling in knife edge. It really flys like a 2meter with this weight and power.

The YS110 will be great. I have one on the way for my CA Model Epsilon.

flyintexan - Have your buddy try the APC 15x8. Less pitch speed and still good as a constant speed prop. Thats what the ZnLine guys use on their Synergy 90's.

That doesn't seem like enough prop.... even on 20/20 the 15x10 is turning around 9K...

Has anyone out there run a 16x8 on 20% or 30% fuel on the 110?

....I used to run a 16x8 on 30% heli fuel on an old (very old) 120NC, and the motor is still going strong on that setup...

I don't have a YS in my WB, but I believe the 1.10 will be a great combo. I am running an OS .91FX with an APC 14x8. Vertical is no issue at all, and it hovers at about half throttle. The plane came out at 6 pounds 8 ounces with the tank empty. Zero pitch and roll couple.

Why not go for the successor design, the Epsilon instead of the widebody? I have seen the Epsilon fly and it seems to be the "next level".

Question for YS owners: Would a YS 1.10 run well and be more powerful than similar displacement 4 strokes when ran with 15% nitro? Or does it need at least that extra 5% (20%) to be satisfactory? Thanks!!!!!

The Epsilon is shorter coupled than the Widebody. It 3Ds better, but the Widebody is more of a pure pattern design with a couple of slight mods. And this thing flies great!

That being said, I haven't actually flown an Epsilon, so I'm guessing here. But I'm sure it would be fine, it's not that drastic of a difference. But I had a Widebody and it flew almost as well as my 2 meter in dead calm.

Excellent planes, all of them from what I have seen.

The YS1.10FZ on 15% is about the same power wise as a Saito 120 on 30% nitro. On 30% its just a bit stronger than a Saito 150 also on 30%.
