Default What's new at ZN???

I was wondering what, if anything, the lads at ZN are working on at the moment? The only new model recently seems to have been the Oxalys.

I will be looking for a replacement for my Alliance later this year so wondered what would be around come the autumn.

cheers!

James

Hi james

There is a new version of Oxalys with 2 wings and carbon tube, the canopy and underbelly are different.
I just have Pascal Nowik at phone, he tells me he 'll show a new pattern
in the next F3a contest in Romilly (near Paris) which 'll be week end 12 june 2005. He tells me the pattern was designed for Cyclon electric motor).

Hi Claude,

thanks for that. Is this model he will be showing you at Romilly a new model or the latest version of the Oxalys? Either way I would love to see any photographs you might be able to get.

Is there anything from the drawing board of Arnaud Poyet? I've always liked his designs and it's been a while since the Enigma came out.

Hi James

It will be a new model at Romilly. I 'll put pictures on this site.
Arnaud Poyet abandoned the F3a. Now he does Hélicopter F3C.

That's a shame about Arnaud leaving the scene, a loss for F3A. I am sure he will do well in F3C.

I look forward to seeing the pictures of ZN's new creation. Have fun at Romilly!

That`s a sweet looking baby,isn`t it?.
It`s good to hear that they lowered the price on this one, obviously the quality of the ZN planes is second to none.
They must have a E version for this one.Who designed this plane??.

I love the OXALYS though!!!!!.

oh dear, it's now a three horse race between the Enigma, Oxalys and Twister!! The Twister does look very good indeed. [sm=greedy.gif]

I look forward to hearing a bit more about it, some technical details and maybe a flying report?

Hi dear friend.
I 'll not in Romilly but there 'll be 4 englishmen pattern flyers named :
HOWARTH Richard, CATON Kevin, CHRISTOPHER Richard, HARROP John-William, SILSBY Arthur. May be you know them. I ' m very happy that a lot of Englishmen 'll come in France. I think they speak or write english better than me a poor frenchman !!! . And It 'll be well they put pictures on this website.
My new pattern, Cocaine.

Hi Claude,

yes I know these chaps, good guys all of them. There will be some of us Brits going over to watch too so there will be a good British crowd there. It is nice that all countries of Europe get together at these events. Hopefully one year soon I will go too.

Nice looking model you have there! And don't worry about your English, it is much better that my French!!

A bientot,

James

Don't forget the two Scots that went

The Twister looked nice. Very much like a more racey version of the Lazulite, I'm sure it will fly very well.

PL had their new Onyx Electric there. Can't say I liked it very much, the nose was dodgy at best and the colour scheme made it look very cartoonish. The IC version looks better to my mind but I've not seen one in the flesh.

I would like an Oxalys but there really is no point as it is so similar to a Synergy. The only real difference is the smaller wing and my Synergy has got a modified wing to cope with windier, more turbulent conditions anyway. I just couldn't justify it + I'm el skinto anyway

Hi Angus.
It's you on theses 2 pictures ! Congratulations for your 9th place.
Please what do you think about flights of Cocaine (patterns sold by F3ALORENZ) and
Pinnacle of OXAI in Romilly ?
How many flights do you do to practise for WC in St Yan ?
Thanks
Claude

Thanks Claude, I was pleased with 9th. 3rd to 9th were all quite close and I flew pretty good so I was happy the way the comp went.

I didn't really see the Cocaine fly or the Pinnacle, both looked very nice though. Colour scheme on Cocaine was amazing!

As for practice well I can never get enough. I only get about 200 or so F3A flights a year which is absolutely nothing compared to some people. I had lunch with Don Sczur on the Sunday (top bloke and great pilot) and he was saying how he has 5 flights most evenings and 9 or 10 Sat/Sun!! Wish I got that amount of practice. Hopefully we will get a good spell of flyable weather here in Scotland so I can put the flights in

Pictures look a lot like the pictures on the website of AASH :-)
The Twister is a little different to Oxalys, wing is a bit higher and the fuselage is much bigger.
The two piece wing version (electric) will be available very soon...
I've already received some pictures from JP Zardini today :-)
mine is already ordered... I'll put pictures on the net as soon as I start building it.
Pictures of my Oxalys are allready on this site (site of my in club in Zeebrugge, Belgium)
http://users.pandora.be/flyphoenix/oxalys.htm
Sorry for the dutch language, I'll translate the whole site in English and French soon ...
