YS Front Bearing Oil Seal
Hi all
Can someone tell me what is the easiest way to replace the YS 160 YSE1730 Front Bearing Oil Seal.
Is it essential to dismantle the Crankshaft ?

I have never done it that way .....But provided you can heat the whole case so the front bearing is loose in the house, it is a loose fit on the cranksahft, but not above 120- 150 Celsius !! ( And can the regulator stand these temperatures ? ) and provided you can get a tool in from the front and destroy/ pull out the seal it can be done. The seal can be inserted from the front with a little oil so the edges do not suffer.....Take the motor apart it is much better.

The crankshaft needs to come and then push the bearing and oil seal out from the rear of the case. A wooden dowel is the preferred tool to push the bearing and seal out with.
If you replace the front bearing usually you damage the oil seal so replace it too.
