Old but good...and very appropriate here I think...

How many internet forum/list members does it takes to change a light bulb?

1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed

14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently

7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs
1 to move it to the Lighting section

2 to argue then move it to the Electricals section

7 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light
bulbs

5 to flame the spell checkers

3 to correct spelling/grammar flames

6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb" ... another
6 to condemn those 6 as stupid

2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term
is "lamp"

15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that "light bulb" is perfectly correct

19 to post that this forum is not about light bulbs and to please
take this discussion to a lightbulb forum

11 to defend the posting to this forum saying that we all use light
bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant to this forum

36 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique and what brands are faulty

7 to post URL's where one can see examples of different light bulbs

4 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the corrected URL's

3 to post about links they found from the URL's that are relevant to this group which makes light bulbs relevant to this group

13 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including
all headers and signatures, and add "Me too"

5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they
cannot handle the light bulb controversy

4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"

13 to say "do a Google search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs"

1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again...

Hmmmmm . . . now that gets me thinking !

I know JAS has been "Down Under" before to fly IMAC . . BUT . . we need to get him back to fly Pattern ! !

How about the Australian Masters in '09 ???? . . . How big a hat do we need to pass around ???? Sure would be good to see ya here !

Cheers, JB
When is it? I had a blast there for the IMAC contest... it would be a hard trip to top. Of course it is pattern, so might not be too hard to do...lol.
Jas . . The Australian Masters is traditionally held over the Easter Weekend. It usually includes the Team trials for the Worlds too, as it attracts the most entries of any event held here. Yep . . it's more presitgious than the Australian Nats these days . .

Cheers, JB

I'm getting a Perry pump and running it with an OS 120AX. I understand I am required to tap the crank case; where is the best location to do this? Can I tap the rear cover? I am nervous about drilling a hole in my $280 engine (this will be my 'third' engine, though I only had my second for a week then sold it).

Often you can drill out one of the backplate screws into the crankcase and then replace that bolt with a nipple.

Or, you can drill the center of the backplate, screw in the nipple and then grind it flush on the inside.

Thanks, I like the idea of using the backplate as it can be replaced.

Well I took my own advice and went for a Whopper Junior either yesterday or the day before. I also got a small fry and a small drink. Now this will show how often I actually eat fast food, but I had forgotten all about Burger King's "new" french fries; they suck! So while the Whopper Junior is the creme de la creme, the class of the dollar menu, I'd take a Mickey D's double burger and their fries over the Whopper Junior and those things they call french fries at Burger King. Yuck[:@]

Jason,

Speaking of Crappola. I was at Solberg AP this evening before the club meeting and wouldn't you know it, just after I put the canopy on your old plane, a bird decided to leave a few small deposits on the wings from above. If I ever buy another plane off of you, I am definitely going to ask for a " No Bird Crappola" guarantee/warranty.<G>

I was years without eating that crap too, and the busier I get the more appealing it becomes. Hungry to full in $3.24 and 5 minutes. I do try not to eat it, but sometimes it's just too easy

F3A at the Olympics would certainly be more legit than many of the events that are creeping in. I'd vote for it!
