That "really sings" reference could be down to prop choice.... sounds your're under propping. A 17x10 isn't enough prop for my OS 1.40... need a 17x 12 or 13 to get the RPMs down.

Sorry...
I meant it as, it is a great combo (the 1.40 and the Focus).
I am turning a tick over 8000 rpms with the 17x10. I have some 17x12's on order, although I am really happy with the 17x10. This is my first turn pattern motor, so I still have lot's to learn.

good stuff Pugs,
missed you at the Columbus IMAC. I too am flying a 17X12 on my webra 1.45. it is a bit on the fast side for me though - especially after switching from the big IMAC planes / props. I have asked some guys if an 18X10 would be good to try. not sure if I will though.
hope to see you this weekend at the contest, we'll chat props

Hubb....
Yeah...I really wanted to go....but things happen.....
I only have 5 tnaks through the 3M....so I am assuming it will come on a bit more.
This Focus would/will make a kicking IMAC basic plane....

Got 3 more in....
tonight. I am truly amazed how slow this plane will land. I now know what I have been missing all these years not flying pattern planes. I have totally felt comfortable flying this bird......
