Hi,
I'd like to know wich of the existing pattern bipes are the best?? and (this is for mark novak)how much will a fiberglass suxess cost
???? and how much is it for a fuse??
is anyone desinging a pattern bipe?? i'd like to have some ideas
i'd like to buy a dv or a suxess but i'm short on money so I'd like to have ideas for a self concept pattern bipe :D (specs, servos, etc etc)

I'd honestly wait until after the W/C's to make up my mind. You'll see which bipes fly well, and which ones don't. My suspicion is that there is a pilot or two out there thats unhappy with the bipes.

Yes i think i'm going to wait , i have to wait anyway because i'm only 16 and i have to get money before :D id also like to know if those planes a good for 3d/aa???

I have the same problem, and I'm 16 too, but I went for a 3D plane that can do pattern, not pattern that can do 3D. www.emhw.de

Before I stick my feet in my mouth up to the knees, I too am going to wait until after Poland to give many thoughts on the bipes and F3A.

That said, a bipe is a natural platform for 3D. They take lots of mixing to get just right, but the work pays off. They have an unearthly stability in high alpha, the bread and butter of 3D. Add the stability of an F3A platform to that and the end result should be amazing. However, we have not done anything at this point with the Suxess and 3D. It's a World Championship year and F3A is the game right now.

For the Suxess, the web priced kit is the only kit that is planned for that airplane right now. I do not think Pascal has any plans for a fiberglass fuse on the bipe. He is really shifting over to Kevlar for all of its advantages.

because i'm also i live in liège where do you come from??
and my last question, i've never flown a pattern plane, i've only flown a super stick and i was doing some acro with it, do you think that i'll have problems fliyng an f3a plane????

Geez man, I'm the exact same as you. I hadn't flown anything like a pattern plane, and went to a Funtana because I could;
Have a 2 meter model.
big wing, slow stall, slow landing.
Alot cheaper.
Alot cheaper if I crash it.
Made out of wood, so some crashes are easily repairable.
And you can make a start on F3A, like me.....

I'd like to have a bipe because when i saw the suxess and the dv I fell in love with those planes

i think i'm going to create a pattern/AA bipe...
do you know if there are plans?
i'd like to have something between the dv and the suxess
with a bit taller controls areas...
i'd like to have the realistic style of the dv with the 1.70 meters(for snaps) wings of the suxess ....

Hi Guys

For many, I hate to say this cost will be the big issue for Biplanes.Prices of F3A will increase because of the extra materials and man hours needed. If you were looking at starting F3A, I would never start with a Biplane, they may look good but you are aiming to start with something stable. Bearing in mind now that base monoplane kits are increasing to nearly £1,000.00s that one hell of an outlay to a newcomer.

Christophe started with next to nothing (so I've heard) so starting with the best equipment isn't always the best way.
Once you have honed your skills and are confident then gradually better your equipment.

I work with the top F3A builder in the UK, are opion is that a finished Biplane would total nearly £7,000.00s. A substiantial increase over a monoplane by nearly £2.000.00s.
