Hey Guys, Few Questions .
 

Hey guys, now that I have college and work straight i'm now actually ready to focus on pattern. Last year those two things bottled me up and therefore I ended up missing the Nats in the middle of a good season. Anyway, I am going to Masters this year and was wondering what batteries hold up better for the Masters sequence? I was using my Thunder Power 5200s last year but it just seemed like even the Advanced pattern would drain them pretty good. Also on that note, what about the newer battery packs coming out from Hobby King and such that are "supposebly" cheap for a good battery. My only history I have with those are some batteries I got that were 5000 mAh, off brand, but they were alittle on the heavy side.

If you guys could give me some info reguarding these things just to catch me back up it would be much appreciated.

Masters sequence is shorter this year so what you got should be fine. If you're eating up 80% or more (4000ma+) of your battery capacity in Advanced on a regular basis, you need to work on throttle management and maybe making some adjustments to your throttle curve. Depending on conditions, one should be somewhere in the 3000's for the most part. I would sooner go with F3aunlimited packs than the Hobby King stuff. More expensive, but better quality and as light as the Thunderpower packs. I use Thunderpower only because I have a personal source that gets them for me at a good price.<g>

You shouldnt have any issues with draw for the new Masters sequence. I was using around 3400-3600 mah last fall when I flew it at the Green Sea contest and I'm flying huge and fast. As Joe said you should be using even less for Advanced.

Right well I kinda misrepresentated myself wrong, my 5200's did well. It was the off brand battery that wasn't doing that good, but I'm guessing some of them have faults? I normally don't use that much throttle whatsoever.

I kwow that the TP 5200 are 3-4 oz lighter than the 4900 Rhinos. Just in case...
