Hi All

Quick note to let everyone know that Roxi at Central Hobbies had a very serious heart attack two days ago and it was touch & go for a while. I know everyone in our sport has probably talked with Roxi on many occasions and would want to wish him the very best in his recovery.

Thanks Dick. I hate to hear that....everyone at Central has always been so helpful whenever I've had a question or needed anything. Thanks for the update and hope Roxi gets better very quickly.

Wow ! Never expected to hear that. He has been a great help to me when I started with YS engine's. His head is a part's department, never had to look up anything. Will get a card in the mail.

Just got off the phone with Central Hobbies on an order. Asked how Roxi is doing and told that he is just back to work and doing fine! He is in the shop today!

That probably would not be so if Norway were $14,000,000,000,000 in debt and already providing free social services to 13,000,000 undocumented "guests" with more pouring over its borders every day, not to mention some 20-30,000,000 members of multi-generational families who are content to rely on the welfare system for a livelihood.

I am very happy to hear that Roxi is doing well enough to be back at work already. I spoke to him exactly one time about a Focus Sport and YS 110, but it was evident that he is clearly one of the few go-to guys when it comes to YS and just about any pattern gear, and lots more I'm sure.

Bob, you are correct. We must do three things among many others here in the U.S. in the next 20 months. Reduce or eliminate our deficit spending (don't raise the debt limit), attempt to balance the budget and most important, replace the Obama administration! Also, it might be a good idea to tighten the security of our borders and start checking the immigration status of many of these "illegals" that are sucking the life blood out of our system and then ramp up our deportation system. How's that sound? I thought some of my liberal counterparts might like to hear how I REALLY feel this morning___Everette

This is NOT a pro Obama statement by any stretch, but do you REALLY believe that there is ANY administration that could/would fix anything. Every administration over the last 30 years is responsible for where we are now and unfortunately the only people who could really do anything about it are in the private sector and plan to stay there because there is too much money to be made. It seems as if the ONLY people qualified to be in Washington are those that wouldn't want to go, and the ones that we do elect are there because they really can't do anything else. Even the ones who might want to be honest and good when they get there, quickly learn that if they aren't taking care of someone else then they wont get anything done either. It is going to take a LOT more than an administration change to make a huge difference down the road.

As Benjamin Franklin said "When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic" and that is EXACTLY what is happening now.

Archie, I can't believe it, we finally agree on something! As far as I'm concerned, any true conservative presidential candidate woud be an improvement. BTW, I'm not going to be able to go
to the Nats this year, but I support your on going efforts to win the Master's Division this year. You've worked hard enough and hopefully your efforts will pay off! Now, move up next year, just kidding_____Everette

Everette, I was not making a political statement, just pointing out the facts as they are.

Arch is IMHO correct that the problem is the way Washington works, with the primary goal of legislators being re-election. I was suckered once in 1994 and since then have abandoned the notion that one of the major parties can fix things or really has the desire to do so. There are countless examples of "conservatives" who ditched their campaign promises once in office.

If any good is to come of the current awful mess, it will be the public at large and en-masse demanding serious and substantive overhaul.

I still believe term limits would be a GREAT place to start, at least then you wouldn't have guys sitting up there for 40+ years doing nothing, but I don't see that happening as the people who would have to approve that are the guys it would affect, so the problem becomes getting rid of the old guard, regardless of which side of the isle they sit on.

You are 100% right on the goal of being re-elected, and members of the house, literally have to start campaigning the day after the election because they are only there for 2 years. Will definitely be interesting to see what happens over the next few years.

Donald Trump seems to be a sucessful businessman but for some reason he wasn't being taken serious?

I remember some old dude named Ross Perot, also a sucessful business man, being treated like a joke candidate.

I'm sorry, but it would seem the majority of US voters prefer to be told by the media who to vote for (not that much different to Aus I should add).

As a great friend of the US it saddens me to watch what's happening and to be perfectly frank with you I don't believe changing party will have any effect. Left or right, they both work for the same oligarchs, following their own global agenda at the expense of national interests. It's quite plane to see, and it isn't limited to the US. As an expat, if dreadful to see what's (been) happening in the UK.</div><div></div>

Unfortunately you are absolutely correct. Amazing how much power the media has in this country and around the world for that matter. It seems as if very few people can think for themselves. I'm sure it is this way around the world, but news is dominated by useless and pointless stories such as the Royal Wedding, yes, it was neat and a story, but it shouldn't overshadow everything going on in the country, which it did. You will find stories such as Jennifer Anniston's dog dying, ahead of major news stories on most news sites in the US. Something seems wrong with that, but it is the society we live in. I would argue that less than 50% of the country can name the governor, their senators or representatives, which to me is a FRIGHTENING thought. My daughter is in all honors/AP classes in HS and almost a straight A student with maybe 1 B thrown in, and she can't even name them. Something is wrong with that scenario.

The mainstream news media is owned and controlled by the sameoligarchs. They concentrate on non news, manipulate real news and edit out crisis events, least those not deliberately brought on to forward their agenda, with Royal weddings, Oprah 's last show, some football players sprained ankle... it's a method of dumbing down and brain washing the population. But there is an alternative. It's called the internet! Turn of you search filter and start hunting info. Use the alternative news media before it's taken over.. or closed down. The Cyber Defence Bill... it hasn't anything to do with Defence!

The world must be coming to an end, Everette, because I'm agreeing with you here as well.

I don't think that replacing the Obama administration will solve much, however. It would be nice to see candidates that were truly from different parties instead of the same party with different names. I really do not like the way that the presedential primaries are conducted as I honestly believe that the more effective candidates get weeded out early in the game because they are not as good of a BS artist as the candidates that end up with the nomination. Case in point, I would have voted for Ron Paul in the primaries but he wasn't on the ballot by the time the NC primaries rolled around.

For America to be as great of a country as it is; there are some fundamentally flawed systems that have been implemented in the past 75 years or so.
