Thank you

By chance would someone have a links to the SASS 180 use in pattern by MTK? I tried searching without any luck.

I'm looking for some threads about taking wood electric props and modifying them to use with gas pattern engines. Reinforcement with carbon fiber.

I finished my engine swapping a DZ170cdi for the OS GT33 and all I can say is wow. Using a 19x11, not leaving much room for ground clearance. I found some 18x12 and a 18x13 electric props I would like to try.

Thank you.

flywilly I didn't see what I was looking for. Thank you

Note that the rubber is only glued to the fiberglass cloth and not the wood.

When all said and done ready to fly less fuel I did not have to re-balance the plane.

Think this is the thread I was looking for https://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/rc-...rformance.html

Nice work on the retro fit of the OS 33GT into the Symphony.
Glad you found the thread. Matt was a prolific innovator, especially in the pattern environment and he shared everything. Still missed.
Have you flown the Symphony yet?

computermonkey 06-25-2020 06:05 AM

I have twenty two flights on it to date.
The first three flights on it the second time out I noticed a light oil down the sides and it seemed a little louder. Took the chin cowl off and noticed both clamps loosen and tightened. Even with the loose coupler the engine pulled the 11 lb plane straight up unlimited. With the tightened coupler it was a lot quieter and pulled even better.

End story, it was worth the change. Oh and all this on one gallon of fuel.

Thank you Chuck. Be safe.

Hi Ralph,
Nice chatting with you today. I have an OS 33 GT for testing purposes. I just need to build something to put it in. Glad to hear the engine is working well for you!
Regards,
Will
