Last year I flew a pair of Vectors, all Futaba gear, YS motors.

Awaiting a pair of ZN Line Evolis XXL's, all Futaba gear, with 140DZ's :)

Highlight of my pattern career was placing 30th at the 2001 Worlds in Ireland.

I am going to start flying pattern this year. I am going to be using a just recently finished Great Planes 300s. I am also going to start flying IMAC this year as well with my Lanier Edge 540. I enjoy both types of flying but I have to say for me there is nothing that trips my trigger like watching a 2m pattern ship going through its manuvers.

I flew my first pattern contest last year using a H9 Edge 540. I think I might be hooked. This year I'll be trying out a Boxer 120 that I built during the winter.

I am flying a peidmont focus with a ys 140DZ and all futaba equipment. I fly in the Masters class. The Highlight of my career was probably winning the advanced class at the nationals last year.

I am flying advanced in district one with a Prophecy with a YS 1.40L and Airtronics Stylus. Hopefully I will have my Focus ARC done for the start of this season. The Focus will have an OS 1.60 and Airtronics digitals.

I'm a prospective pattern flyer and would like to build a ship sometime during the year. I could use any ol' thing for Sportsman, but I'd like to find plans for a .60-size (I have a .61 needing a home) with modern lines (just because) . I already know of some older planes' plans from AMA. Who sells some good plans? (not kits).

checksix --- I liked your Boxer 120 presentation. Do you have an address for Salient Designs. I assume they have a Boxer 60, a fella did well in the Nats with one.

Poor little me. I have a Hydeout with a Webra 1.45, JR equipment, and I wish that I could be flying FAI. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to wait then.

Anyone interested in pattern the way it used to be flown, that is pre-1976 and turnaround might want to check out the Senior Pattern Association. All aircraft are 1975 or earlier, patterns are from the AMA rulebook of that era, and it's mostly about friends and fun.

There will be at least 1/2 doz. contests this season in SPA and especially if you're in the southern states, come try and fly. You'll enjoy it.

I think that's equivilant to Advanced in the USA.

I'm flying this Majestic with an OS1.40 RX that will be swapped out next week for the OS1.40 RX/FI.

I'm debating over an Evolis, Enigma, Synergy, or Hydaway for a newer airframe.

I think you are talking about Gus in WA that bilds the boxers and has the plans and if that is the cas he is died a little bit ago so i do not no if this is the same person but i am prety shere.

Check with PAC there is a link from the NSRCA site they have lots of great glass and foam kits for a .61. RCM plans will have plans for a few good kits. The Gitano and Loaded Dice are the first ones that comes to mind. You may even find a Calypso ARC that was also an excellent plane.

Shortman,
You can fly almost anything in pattern that is under 2m and 5 kg. Some CD's will even let you fly bigger if you ask. Generally lower rates and a soft setup works best in the first few classes since there are no snaps and spins until advanced. Never flew a Seduction but it would probably be fine. Check out www.NSRCA.org for the sequences and info. If you are in the NY area come to my clubs pattern primer on May 18 check www.MAAW.com. Try it you may just find you like it.

You could fly pattern with the Seduction that is why I ordered my to try out the new FAI patterns before I try out for the world team next year. All I am going to do is set the rates really low. So I will have 2 programs of planes on my radio one for 3d and one for pattern.
