Servo Input Voltage

Hi Guys,

I am using a JR DS362 servo on throttle, which is currently regulated to 5.6 volts as i am using a Li Ion battery.
I am considering changing to LiFe batteries and would like to know if any one is using this servo on LiFe's unregulated, without any problems.

Thanks for any advice given.

DS362 is designed to be used for 4.8V, so you will ruin the servo if you go with LiFe without regulators.

I run mine on 8.4 volts unregulated have for years never burnt one yet works great.

8.4 unregulated is 2S lipo. Are you saying that you are running the DS361 on 8.4v ?
I've never actually tried 2S lipo on digital servos without regulator unless the servos were High Voltage.

Be smart, regulate your voltage. Just because someone says they run more voltage here on the internet, I wouldn't do it.

Anyway, I'm dating a french model. How do I know? She told me so. I met her on the internet.

Get the picture?

I have no intention of using Lipo's unregulated. I also don't have a problem using Life's unregulated on digital servos that are rated for 6 volts. My problem is finding voltage specs for the 362.

I actually found a site that lists the 362 as 4.8 - 6.0 volts.

I have been using LiFe's with no reg. this week and everything is ok so far.

Thanks for the advice.
