RE: post some pictures of your pattern plane!!

Hi Rune

Great plane but I don't remember where I already saw this design !!!
What's news ! What is situation of buildind of your Good Shot !
Claude
Some months ago you said :
It seems that my Good Shot project is gone to stop for some months.
A big powerplant up in northern norway has stopped and I and some colleges is going to rewind it ..lots off work and it will take maybe 4-5 motnh and with only every second weekend home it will take time!

RE: post some pictures of your pattern plane!!

Your right Claude!
and the plane has to many sisters around the world ..but it flies wery well!

well i had a crash on my Twister and needed som fast and that would not be the Good shoot!
so I buyed this kit from Rc Sweden .

I have found the Good Shot box again and yesteday I looked over the drawings since it has been on delay for some months!
So some day the pic of it will come , i will try to get do some during the Easter, if not only flying!

Man, that's really great Mike Will the plane be light enough for an Axi E. setup? Thanks
No question about it. Easily. I'm doing one with an AXI myself so I'll be posting a how-to. Just select the best wood you can find for sheeting (I may include sheeting with the kits this time, but that could really drive up the price of the electrics...I'm VERY picky). I haven't decided yet, still exploring options. It's all light years past anything we have done in the past.

Mike I'm looking forward to seeing more on this plane. It's really nice. It's so nice to see a plane that has a price point that doesn't require a third mortgage.
The Axi setups are really great too. Mike

Black Magic VF3 prototype. fast and dirty one day monokote scheme, for maximum visibility, no "bling".

More elsewhere soon. This one levels the paying field. Utterly.

What are those little puffy things coming out of the bottom? :D Clouds?

OK, here is my new 2007 Angel - this plane has some real potential - although I did not show it in the last contest - due to thumbs on the transmitter - but it's getting better! 10.25lb using TP5300's. 20.5 x 14 prop - average power per flight = 2800 - 3000mah, and in high wind, maybe 3400mah. Good luck to all this season.

Pattern is fun:

Beautiful airplane where did you get it. Was that plane the one that Sebastiano Silvertri uses in the las Euro Champs. ?

Pattern_is_Fun 04-26-2007 08:57 PM

RE: post some pictures of your pattern plane!!

The plane is from Russia -vladimir Kozlovskiy makes it - the Angles Shadow. It is the same plane Sebo flew in the European Champs.

This is my Venus 40, powered with an O.S. .46 AX and the radio is a 7 CAP PCM FUTABA.... the plane fly really good, stable, predictable landing, good for sport and pattern style i think.

Here it is ready for test flight.

This is the last of the first three prototype kits made. Kits are available.

Special thanks to Jim Sheffield for the wonderful paintjob and to my son Mark for the opportunity to fly one of his new designs.

Yeah AC, I am flying electric, well for about 16 flights now. Mike, my Lightning is an all built up balsa wood fuse with foam wings and stab. The final weight is 10lb 15 oz. As I am sure you have seen with the early BM, after building one, I can see many places to save weight.

Hey Jeff,
Is there a plan for this beauty?

Viper Driver 06-23-2007 09:14 PM

RE: post some pictures of your pattern plane!!

Ozzie,

I did this plane on Turbocad, but I wouldn't really call them plans. I really didn't detail the drawings much.

Hey Viper Driver,

Put me on that list if you do offer plans too, really like the fuse work, your plane looks like a great building project.

thanks for sharing, dean

I am going to clean up the drawings for the Lightning after the Nats to make them suitable for someone other than me to build. I hope to get them out before the end of the summer.

RE: post some pictures of your pattern plane!!

Thanks Maustin. Well, about the weight i tried to keep everything that was added light. The wood work was done by Terry Brox , and is one of the lightest out there and the quality is umbeliavable. DEPS system for elevator. Rudder servo and elevator servo mounted just behind wing tube. No false floor. Lipo battery with regulator. Ys-160 with hatory 821 pipe. Balancing was no problem. Everything came out perfect. very happy with it.

RE: post some pictures of your pattern plane!!

Here's a Aeroslave Entropy that I just referbed for a practice plane. Put new Symphony wings and stab in along with a carbon fiber wing tube and dropped the weight from well over 11lbs to 10.8lbs. The more modern wings really slowed the plane down speed wise in the downlines and it snaps very well as I just started practicing the advanced pattern. OS140, Hatori pipe, mentor 2 plug head. What a sweet combo.
