Taurus Flyer,
Many years ago I had the opportunity to fly a Taurus that belonged to someone else and I was impressed at how big and beautiful it looked and how smoothly it flew. It was a pleasure to fly it.
Your scratch built Taurus is certainly one fully equipped flying machine and shows that you enjoy the vast amount of experimentation that our hobby permits. Continue to enjoy your Taurus.

I never owned a Taurus but way way back I did build and fly the Ed Kazmirski Tauri which was a shoulder wing trainer for multi channel radios. I flew it with a Kraft Ecktronics six channel reed type radio system and the engine was a Fox .35 Rocket red head with a Johnson carburetor epoxied on it's venturie. That Tauri was another great flying Kazmirski airplane.
Continue to enjoy your Taurus.>>>

I will do Rocketman, I will keep the past as long as possible in my hands, and continue the experimentation of Ed Kazmirski with the tools I have these days.
I found the Taurus a very good ship for my experiments but also a plane to fly under nearly any weather condition with great pleasure.
Orion, Taurus, Tauri. Ed did show us how to design airplanes.
Some pictures from my "Sport" Orion.

Here is one picture of my Scorpion. Has made a lot of small improvement since the maiden flight in beginning of may. Mostly the improvement has been made to save weight. It flies great and hopefully it will last for a long time.

Hi Mike

Electric motor is Plettenberg, propeller is 20x15. Weight is 5010 g with lipo 5350 mah.
This week end, Dominique tested lipo 4600 in 20C which weight 1110 g en 2x5S http://www.modelpascher.com/catalog/...roducts_id=968
In this configuration Littletwo weights 4920 g.
Fuse is made in two parts to facilitate shipping and mounting. Wings are glued on the front part.

RE: post some pictures of your pattern plane!!

Thanks Claude I love to see new idea's like this. Just a suggestion on the weight is to use the YGE 80 Amp controller. It weighs around 70 grams. The smaller lipo's are OK but tough to use in a heavy wind on the F sequence in competition.
I really like the quick assembly on the Bi plane. It takes a lot of the hassle out. Thanks for the info, Mike

I picked up an Impact still in the box a few years ago for $650, great deal and I still love it today! The Genesis 3D flys like a pattern with oversized surfaces, way more money and not as fun as the Impact...

RE: post some pictures of your pattern plane!!

Taurus flyer,

I just receive the plans to build a Ed Kazmirski "Taurus". A question I have for you is: The original Taurus was equipped with a .45 engine (Veco I believe) you have mentioned yours has a ,61. Does it need all that power from a .61? Would a .46 be enough?
I have both, I was just wondering why you selected a .61.

Your Taurus looks great. I plan to finish mine same as the original also.

What is/was reason for the brakes on the landing gear? I saw them on the plans and could not figure why they would be needed.

Shown here is the first production Zephyr from the Elation Models Products stable. Some may remember the prototype pictured here earlier in the year. The one here was built for FAI pilot Pete Scoles who took 3rd place in the FAI (P only) competition at the recent UK National Championships. After having engine cuts for the first three rounds in Advanced, yours truly just missed out on 3rd place by 17.5 points. However, I did manage to secure my second set of promotion points so it's Masters for me next year.
