CAD for pattern

Does anybody know something about "RCcad"? I t is a software to design r/c planes I have dowloaded as a demo. I am considering using it to design a 2M pattern plane and built it myself. I wanted to know if anybody has experience with this or have it used for the same purpose. Pros? Cons? anything.

thanks,

Manuel

You may want to post that question on the scratch builder/ aircraft design/ cad page.. I have been kicking the same idea around..

Speaking from Experience of designing a lot of aircraft it's acutally easier for someone with an untrained eye (and mind) to scribble a workable design on paper.

The reason being is that looking at a screen is COMPLETELY different to looking at an aircraft, full size on your drafting table.

You will instantly get a feel for what you're designing if you grab a pencil. Lots of printouts are required before you reach the same thing on CAD.

I agree with Renegade in that there is alot of work in designing in cad. Especially if you want to depict the details. See: www.geocities.com/markhunt_2000/INSIGHT
