RE: MK Models Web Page Address ?
MK does not have a web site. At least, none that I have ever found and I do a pretty exhaustive search at least twice a year. Others have asked this question and received the same responce from other people. If you find one, let us know as they have a ton of goodies!

Last time I checked, MK just had a homepage up. They do or did (I haven't checked in months) have a website. As soon as I find it (again...) I'll post the address/link.

Isn't this unbelievable ? Wonderful models, no web site to get information, I really wonder what kind of marketing these guys are doing.

Maybe they don't want the business...?? They do zero marketing in the USA/North AMerica, yet their hardware is still considered the best for pattern planes. Singapore hobbies is probably the best route to get kits for us (they've got lots of my money :-) - imagine how many kits they could sell here with a distributor and real marketing - or maybe not. ARFs seem to be they choice of the majority of modelers these days. Many R/C ers don't know what a quality kit is and don't care. How many new kits do you see in the Tower flyers??? As long as MK stays in business and continues to release new kits I'm happy, but a website would be GREAT; so would a US distributor.
My 2 cents. Will B. |

Couldn't agree more ! I'd order today if we had a US source ! I currently scratch build since I can't find what I want in a good kit and ARF's, well that's a stretch to call it modeling even if they do have some really decent planes today----. |

My first REAL pattern plane was an MK Curare, you know, the Hanno Prettner Beauty? What a magnificent kit: superb wood and hardware throughout! I was lucky and bought it ($37) at the auction in 1987, and had it ready for the '88 contest season, and did very well with it. Three firsts, and one second place finish in Novice.
About 2 years ago, I saw an MK Curare 40 kit on the hobby shop shelf. It cost me a hunnert bucks! (sp, lol) It was new in the box, but it is old. The wood is just as superb as the 60 I had long ago. I'll probably never build the kit, but cut my own balsa and fly it. You just cannot believe how good the wood is in an MK kit. Its a show-and-tell item just sitting in the box. I would really like to see MK kits over here. I'd buy 'em! |

I do buy them from Singahobby.com. They are worth every penny.
