Pattern plane
What would be a good second airplane for me? I am interested in pattern. So, I want a plane that I can practice aerobatics with.
Thanks -Neil b. |

Holy cow....where do u start?
Tai Ji Venus Javelin Kaos Swallow Wide Body Skylark Boxer Matrix Aresti Magpie Lark ... I'm sure I forgot a few..... My 2 pennies: ARF=Venus YouBuildIt=Widebody |
RE: Pattern plane
I agree with the Venus, the Matrix, and especially the CA Widebody. I have all three
and the Widebody is definitely the best of the bunch. I have been flying the CG Matrix for the last month or so and it's pretty good also but the wind seems to blow it around more than the others. Probably the real wide fuselage. The Widebody comes in .40 or .60 size so take your pick. The Matrix supposedly will fly 3-D also , if you're interested in that , by just increasing the control throws. The Matrix benefits greatly by extra power also so definitely do not use the smaller engine size. tommy s |
RE: Pattern plane
Hello,
since it is just your second airplane, I would focus on a low wing ailleron trainer with a thick symmertical airfoil. That will do a good job to practice the basic pattern manouvers. You can be amised how much you can do with those models. Maybe the knife-edge manouvers are more difficult to fly. If you master that plane, than I would start to think to something more pattern. Just my oppinion |
