Pattern plane and servos?

Hi gang

I am about to start on a 90 sized Pattern plane and this will be my 2nd one ever. First was a 40 sized so it was a standard build. This one is a bit larger so im still sorting out the details on it.

My question is what servos do you guys recommend? I have 1/4 scale planes and those are easy to buy for. 40 sized I usually put in standard Futaba 3004's with good results but with this 90 size plane im in a quandry. How much torque should I opt for and do you guys have any specific servos you prefer over others? I dont intend on competing but would like good authority without having to sell my organs again!

I have a few Futaba 9202's laying around but am not sure if they are enough. In the pattern world do they make a big deal with mg versus nylon gears?

thanks!

Go with them they would be fine. If you need to change them, which I doubt, you can always switch to Digital nylon geared servos.

The 9202's should do fine. If you are looking to get alittle bitmore out of the servos you could use tha HiTech HS-635. They are carbonite gears, 69oz" of torque and the sdpeed is good as well. I think that they come in around .18 @60*. They are pretty cheap too $35-$40 depending where you get them from.
