Sorry I had to miss, I have 35,750 miles on my Ford Truck and wouldnt you know things start to go wrong. Too bad for Ford, they are going to have to fix it this time. Their "everything goes to crap" timer missed by 250 miles. [>:]

BWick, Sounds like you did do some murdering, you just did it in on the scoreboard.... Good for you, now move up so we bottom dwellers can feel good about ourselves again.;)

BTW, You inspired me to take another step with my rolling harriers. On the simulator after about 2 days of 4 hours continuous and again yesterday almost 8 hours ( I have no life, it was raining, AND Im determined to learn) practice I can finally steer them left or right without changing direction of rotation and I can also do them in a straight line right down the runway. They arent as perfect as yours but seeing you do it in person made me realize it was very possible. I literally have a hot spot (almost a blister) on my right thumb, but I think I have it figured out.

Now I just need to start letting it soak in on my real plane but it shouldnt take long. Everything else I have learned on the sim has come together quickly at the field. Its by far the most difficult thing I have ever tried to do with an RC plane, I cant wait till its automatic. [8D]

The key to rolling anything is putting your transmitter in a good scheme:
left stick: thr, ail
right stick: ele, rud

Then rolling everything becomes constant left stick position, and moving the right stick in a semicircle. Want to do a rolling loop or circle? Just stagger the semicircle.

Good thought, but Im already accustomed to elevator/aileron on the right. I can roll pretty well that way. Brett is more than just good though, he is awesome.

Temple was great. Thanks again to the Temple Aeromodellers and especially thanks to Bobby Zikes for CD'ing. I understand that they were in jeopardy of not being able to have a meet this year until Bobby stepped up (or was he pushed?;)) to CD. Bobby did a great job with organization, judging assignments, communication with pilots, etc... I think the Saturday morning was a real kick in the teeth for him following the stellar Friday weather, but he handled it well and we got in 3 rounds before then end of the day.

Congratulations on a tough job well done...

Hahahahah, awesome Mike! You know your not practicing hard enough if the skin on your thumbs is still fresh :D

I would like to echo everyone else's comments. This was my first pattern meet and I could not have had a greater goup of folks to fly with. Bobby and BW were great and took the time to answer my many questions. I would also like to thank Don Ramsey, Art Wagner, Keith Black and Lance for their assistance with thie "first timer".
