plane for a super tiger .61
HI,
I have a super tiger .61. I'm not sure of a plane for this engine. I have done a lot of sport flying, but want to learn pattern sequences. So I need a plane that will fly staight and hold a good heading. Have done 3-d with 46 u-can do also. Thanks thetoad |
RE: plane for a super tiger .61
A few (alot) years ago I built a 60 size Kaos (tower kit, no longer in production) and after throwing away most of the heavy ply I had a nice flying plane that was capable of sportsman and intermediate. Whatever you choose, make sure it is light and the 61 will fly it just fine.
I recently saw a Javelin with an evolution 61 that flew surprisingly well. good luck. |

I was just looking a the javilin ll .46, I like the looks and the reviews I have been able to find so far.

The guy with the Javelin used a 12x6 to help slow it down a little bit. It flew very well for its size.

I would recommend a Wide Body 60 from CA models. The 40 size plane would be a little overpowered, but for learning pattern the ST 61 should be fine for sportsman.

I agree, a friend of mine built one at 7lbs. 4oz. with a YS110. At that weight, the 61 would easily power it. BTW, it is one of the absolute best flying 60 planes out there.
