Eclipse Build
 

Well many of you know about my crash with my first eclispe......below is a pic of crash/ after repairs/original design


I came upon a great deal on a new fuse that had some minor horiz stab dents and canopy dents. Came with everything except wings and landing gear.

I then bought a set of wings........here from RCU


I've ordered the parts I'll need to finish the new Eclipse.......I'll post a build on it.

Ok.....new round of pics coming up this weekend.


I started working on the hatch, cut out the pipe bottom and the front part for the pipe.

I got in the mail these things this week.

-Funtana .90 carbon fiber gear (I'm using these again, I like the performance even though they weigh .8oz more than metal gear)
-Carbon wing tube/socket
-Carbon stab tube/socket
-Bellcrank
-YS140L engine parts I broke when I crashed the plane above
-Pipe mounts
-fuel dots
-fuel T's
-icepoint wheel pants (lighter than stock and better looking)
-stab adjuster kit
-2.5 lite wheels
-tru turn spinner FAI

Carbon adjuster rod for the elevators
JR4721 for elevator
JR8411 for Rudder
tetra fuel tank
carbon rod for bellcrank
wing adjuster kit

Things I'm missing----
Pipe Anyone got one of the ESD carbon fiber ones They'd like to sell?
Hyde mount Anyone got one they would like to sell?
JR811 throttle servo
JR8231 or 2721 for ailerons, I haven't decided Anyone selling any servos????? I only use JR though.


Wings, stabs, rudder are sheeted but no leading edges. So I need to work on those as well.

I have a new hyde mount. For YS, has open back and larger diameter.

-stab tube is installed in the plane and in the stabs (going with CF for stab)
-installed stab adjusters
-installed tailwheel
-installed gearplate
-installed gear

Looking back.....this build was supposed to be done around Jan of 06


Well

-family life
-IMAC
-laziness

all got in the way. I've recently started back up on it.


Things I've done.

-modified the stab to be a straight rudder vs the counter balance
-cutout and ready to bevel the elevators
-installed wings, but need to cut ailerons
-filled in most of the dents/scratches on the fuse....getting her ready for paint.

I also noticed that the beam on my hyde mount was slightly bent....I sent it to Merle Hyde to look at.
