RE: Mk Bellcrank weight
The complete setup including c.f rod w/titanium inserts from servo to crank and from control horn to elevators is a little less then 1.5 oz. Very stiff and slop free when using the ball links (do not use the stand offs on the ball links). 4/40 connections on the pushrod and 2-56 on the elevator halves.

Thank you both for taking the time. I appreciate it.
I'm building a C.A Eclipse and going the Axi F3A electric route. I'm trying to save any weight that I can anywhere. I do have the mk bellcrank in my other ship but I didn't know how much it weighs. I was thinking of the bellcrank of the DEPS that Central sells. Thanks alot!!!!!!! Chris |
RE: Mk Bellcrank weight
The lightest system around is pull-pull by far, especially if you use Kevlar cables which I recommend. It also offers full adjustability such that you may produce exact output from one elevator servo. Set-up is simpler than most other set-ups. Never scimp on clevises: use ball bearing types all around.
