Do pattern planes handle windy day better?

Hi, I have a question, Do most pattern planes handle wind better?
I'm live in North Texas and see more windy days most the time ( usually in 15-20 mph )
Also, I have os 91 fx, what pattern planes do you recommeded for this engine?

Thanks
Pat

Over some aircraft yes. However, the new breed of pattern ships with their large fuses and light wing loadings can get blown around. A perfect example is at the NATS. You can watch the intermediate and advanced guys fly a certain plane and tell there is a 15mph cross wind, then you go over and watch the top FAI guys fly the same design in the same wind and you wonder if the wind is even blowing. A lot of the reason for the stereotype is the quality of the upper level pilots. They will hand wind better than a lot of planes just from their sleek design, but they can still get blown around.

The Hanger 9 showtime would be a nice match with that engine. It is a great flying airplane that will fly both pattern like as well as 3D.

How very true.
When I was flying in the Standard Class in the UK, even in the days of heavier loaded smaller 60-sized models, I always wondered how the better flyers always contrived to have the wind drop away to nothing just in time for their flights.
