Pattern Flying in Ark
 

Having recently moved to Arkansas from Northern VA, I am looking for pattern flyers in the area. I am now located in Russellville and have located the local club but there does not seem to be an interest in pattern flying (though I hope to change that). I am looking for pattern contest in the state so any info or interest would be helpful. I would also like to thank Don Sczur ( a member of my former club) for all the help and instruction he provided while I was a member (pres) of Northern VA RC. I would highly recommend anyone in the mid atlantic area to go by and fly thier annual pattern contest

Mike Harrison, hes in Hot Springs, hes one of the top FAI pilots in the US, a guy IN Jonesboro name Larry Calwell, and his son, they are the only ones I know off

The two persons all ready mentioned are the ones that I am aware of in Arkansas. As far as contest and other pattern activity in the region would be contest in Tulsa, Ok, Springfield, MO, Columbia, MO, Ft. Scott, KS and Memphis, TN. If you are ever up this way, we have a fairly nice pattern contingent at our local club in Springfield, MO.
