Glow Driver that prevents backfiring or knocking when starting

1 Attachment(s)
I still have several of these great glow drivers available... This glow driver is designed to prevent the engine from “knocking”, “pre-ignition”, and “backfiring” during starting.

Features:

• Adjustable ignition time ensures a smooth start of the engine

• Adjustable ignition current allows one to set an ideal current for the glow plug (default is 0.5A)

• Green LED display shows that the glow plug is in good condition

• The glow driver is equipped with a 6 cell 7.2v 1700 mAh NiCad battery. Please use a suitable charger to charge the battery with the included charging cable (white is positive and black is ground).

Specifications:

• Ignition Delay Time 2 seconds to 8 seconds

• Ignition Current 0.5A to 6A

• Included Battery 6 cells 7.2v 1700 mAh NiCad

• Charging Current Recommended <2.5A

• Size 102 x 140 x 58 mm

Please PM me for details - cost is $100 shipped to your door (in the US).

I once had a broken cam gear on my 140 DZ due to the tremendous torque causing backfiring during start up. After switching to this non-knocking glow driver, problem solved.

Biggest advantage, you can adjust the time delay, and the output current. Fouled plugs, thing of the past.

I had one of these from Alex Lau. I use it both for planes and helis. Except for the glow connector that's kind of tight to engage and disengage, flawless working and worth every penny I pay for it!

I wish you had offered these during my YS DZ days. We saw them in use in Poland 03 and were dreaming of owning one until I switched to electric.

I just received a new shipment of these great glow drivers... This glow driver is designed to prevent the engine from “knocking”, “pre-ignition”, and “backfiring” during starting. The unfortunate thing is that they've gone up in price due to our dollar rate of exchange. The price is now $110 shipped to your door (anywhere in the US). Please PM for details on how to get one.

Features:

One of the glow drivers sold by Central Hobbies has a slow start up but no controllable delay.

the one from Singapore or similar is the one to get...
it has no charger but can be chaged with ordinary "old" charger .
its wery easy to start the DZ with it when you get to know it.
you put on the plug connector flip the glow to start and start to "start" the engine (at low idle) when the plug start to glow the engine start to idle soft and easy( if it has enough fuel).
You can call me if you want more info..Kjell Olav
