MK control horns

I am using MK medium control horns on a Quest 2 I am assembling.
With the control surface thickness and the amount of leading edge bevel I don't see anyway the eye of the horn "takeoff" can be centered over the hinge line without the washers hanging way over the edge.
Am I misunderstanding something about their installation?
Thanks!
JLK

RE: MK control horns

Check www.centralhobbies.com for an instructional on how to properly install the MK control horns.

That still doesn't address the issue of the washers overhanging the bevel.
The photos in the Central Hobbies illustration show the control surface leading edge before the bevel has been added.
I don't think I made what I was asking clear.

Hello JLK,

you're right; they messed up with the photos. But if you go to step 10 of the instructions on the central hobbies site you'll see the beveled surface. There is no horn installed but you can see from the dowel position that the washer won't be overhanging. You might have a problem depending on to what extend your control surfaces are beveled.

Al,
Thanks!
That makes sense.
I may have to go with a Dubro.
My bevel is pretty pronounced.
Thanks again!

RE: MK control horns

On occassion I've sanded down the washer and the base of the horn if there was interference between the control horn assembly and the stationairy surface when the surface was deflected.
