X-Tech Infinity
Anyone seen or flown this or other X-Tech Composite products?;)

RE: X-Tech Infinity
The Xtech infinity is what I use to fly. Its a modern pattern type plane with a wide fuse which makes it really sweet on downlines, very light construction, and presents well in flight. Just reinforce the firewall and the wooden ply beam mount and your good to go. You wont go wrong with it. As far as ARF's are concerned I think Filton's quality control are top notch.

RE: X-Tech Infinity
many thanks, do they have a web site?

RE: X-Tech Infinity
Is the X-Tech Infinity made by Fliton? Or has they sold the design?
Same plane is also sold under the name Surpass 90 http://hobby-estore.com/surpass-90-n...plane-kit.html Looks like the original Infinty except from some Small details. This one has no counterbalanced elevator and rudder. |
RE: X-Tech Infinity
what does "no counterbalanced elevator and rudder" mean?
|
RE: X-Tech Infinity
I can only say Yes, I agree. It is a great plane, the design is well, and until now, the plane holds up very well after one year of flying. Like PMR said, do reinforce the firewall and the ply engine mount. You can choose not to do it, but then you must after 10 flights :). I hope the supplied hardware is the same as well as on the Fliton. Great stuff. X-tech seems to be sold in the UK now, has anybody seem it somewhere else in Europe as well? The website you mention is US only.
BTW Camel: counterbalance means that for instance on a rudder, part of it is in front of the hinges. With the plane moving, the wind consequently balances the "weight" of the wind pushing against the rudder. Makes life a bit easier on your servo  |
RE: X-Tech Infinity
with the first publications of the Fliton Infinity-90, there was talk of a standard version and a 3D version. Maybe they chose only to sell the 3D version, and is this Surpass the original model. If you look at the pictures of the box (the not build version), it looks very identical to the Fliton Infinity, even the hardware supplied is the same.
Has anyone any experience with the X-tech box or the one from E-store?? |
RE: X-Tech Infinity
BTW Micromac, how DID you find this plane on this website? I don't see it if you go looking for it through their own website!
