RE: New design from the makers of ABBRA - the Leviosa!

Hi there peaceful,

Thanks a lot for the info.
In the upcoming week I’ll be installing the battery and speed controller, that is why I’ll
need the CG so that I could place them is such way I could balance the plane.

I’m hoping to finish the plane also next week, the latest two weeks from now.
I’ll post pic of the build and experience (tip’s) later one when I finish the build.

RE: New design from the makers of ABBRA - the Leviosa!

Hello Everyone

Some further details from Jaroslav Mach. I promised, but missed:

- Movement of aileron:
11 mm up and 13 mm down (differencial MIX) during pattern flight
16 mm up and 20 mm down for snap rolls

- Movement of elevator
11 mm up and 12 mm down during normal flight
whole mechanical range for spins

- Of course some negative EXPO's according to our habits.

My first setup was not slight enough and I couldnt even touch joysticks.[sm=confused_smile.gif]

Hi,

I'm just curious if anyone that has owned one of these has had to adjust the stab incidence? And how? My new Abbra is 1/2 degree positive..

Thanks,

Chris

Hi

Patternflyer1: I didn't have to adjust, not even to trim during the first flight.

Pro pattern: Pictures of your modell will be appreciated.

Thank you peaceful. I thought it was a little odd (but no big deal).
Good quality and it's the lightest plane I have seen.. I'm very impressed. Definitely in a class of it's own..
Wish it wasn't so windy so I could go try it with the new stab incidence.. Oh well, there's always another day..

Hi there peaceful / Evryone,

Here follows a couple of pic’s I’ve taken during construction.

As I’ll be going the electric route, I’ve decided to do e set-up similar to the Oxai-rc Beryll.
(the inside of the plane) As shown in a couple of pic’s I’ve attached.

Some pic’s of servo installation in the stab. (it’s nearly the same as the Aileron ).
Will take more pic’s in the following weeks.

Any info/ pic that is needed, please ask.
I’ll do my best to answer them.

RE: New design from the makers of ABBRA - the Leviosa!

Has anyone put a YS 1.60 in the front of one of these? I have mine and initially was thinking electric for it but am kind of rethinking this right now.

Thanks
Brian

RE: New design from the makers of ABBRA - the Leviosa!

I find Leviosa basically prepared for electric.
Even so I have built my second Leviosa powered by Mintor 1.70 since I lost control of my first one
(mentioned pages above) and badly crashed:

Pic's of second you can find here:

Tomorrow I am going to get the next one to assemble, and powered by YS 1.60. I will use hyde mount with nose ring.
I'll try to be quick, pic's in a week.

As you see I like this modell very much.

Hello there everyone,

Well I would like to inform you guys that I’ve finally flew my plane.
I’ve only flew it for 2 round of 5 min, due that I would like to take it easy first. (For the battery And Motor)
And I would like to inform that I was pleasantly suprised on how well it flew. But it does need some pre mix.
The difference is also pretty big, form a Webra 1.60 Powered FocusII to the Pletty 30-10 evo Leviosa.

Here follows a couple of pic’s of the plane in comparison with my friends Integral. (also electric power, didn’t maiden yet)
He is also my test pilot :D[sm=shades_smile.gif][sm=biggrin.gif][sm=shades_smile.gif] haha !!! (Aruba_ Maverick aka Chee Chong)
They do look quite similar in many ways; Fuselage shape, wing type /shape.

Will report back after a few more flight how it really performs, when I/we get the chance to do some premix
and begin to dial my plane in.

Danny Koolman

Can't agree with that, sorry!
Measure the root and tip chords---They're quite different on the two models.
And ,although they're both tall fuselages, the Lev's is quite a bit wider, and the Integral's is more of a symmetrical wing section---the Lev is more or less a straight taper from the wide front to the back, like the earlier Matt designs(Lazulite, Smaragd)

Hi kochj

Both Mintor and me survived but anything else. I also like Mintor's power so I have rebuilt my Leviosa and I still fly with it.
This time I used Hyde mount and I have much less vibration.

Holy cow brother you ain't kidding that's beautiful. I love the Leviosa and was close to getting one this winter. That has to be a custom outside the factory paint scheme. If there's any knock on the Leviosa it's the typical dull paint jobs. I could do that one for sure. Good dragging up of an old thread Dean, Mike
