Hi Guys,Its Wayne Galea. I am asking if by any chance somebody knows from where I can buy a very good 2 mtr aerobatic plan. I like to build my models but I am new to 2mtr pattern plans

Try at Hobby-in ( http://www.xs4all.nl/~hobbyin/ or call at 00 31 (0) 416 334 573 ). Look under Xtra-2000. It is a great flying plane, you can buy the drawing + instructions for 43€.

Inexpensive short kit is available also!

Which new design would that be? The bipe or another? Mark showed me a jpg of a new monoplane he was working on a while ago, is that the one?

First one is being finished (glassed/painted, etc.....) now and should fly very soon.

We need to hear the flight report after it has maidened. I really liked the look of the screen shot Mark sent me and I look forward to seeing it in the flesh. In the screen shot, I can see a lot of influence from the Voodoo Express in the fuse fins and the tail feathers. I hope it works out well, I may have to make this my first 2M plane when it is ready.:D How is the weight so far?

What I like btw on the Xtra-2000, is that is build completely from wood. So, if you can build "normal" kit, you can also build on of these. No foam, glassing etc.

You can also order all wood laser-cut as a kit, and order seperately the hood, engine cover and landing gear.

Mine has a weight of 4.9kgs, so it is also light.

Estimates so far on the weight of the new monoplane come it at 10 lbs 2 oz. .... truth be told in the weigh in though eh :)

Gonna be a fine flyer, i can feel it in my bones... hehhe

Wayne, I happen to have plans, cowl and two canopies for a Typhoon 2+2 that are sitting around... probably will never get around to building it. Let me know if interested!

PS I know this is a bit of a pain in the derriere (small french pun, there;)) as I've made many copies of plans for Pilots here and in Europe.

There are no plans, just line drawings. You'd have to come up with some sort of structure yourself, as the PL airplanes were all composite.

The only complete drawings posted as of today are the Axial, Katana and Partner. Having quite a bit of experience with Partners (owning three of them so far), the drawings are accurate against measurements I've previously made. The nose is a little off, it's reminiscent of the Lazulite, which is in effect the same, but otherwise.
