snap roll condition

Hello,

Jus moved to a 9zap wc2 recently and was wondering what the best way to approach setting up the snap rolls using the sticks, I have set a snap condition activated by switch but i need so much throw for snap that ailerons are uncontrolable if i need to straighten wings straight after snap ( even with 100% expo ), so wonderred how the experienced f3a guys approached this, thanks

Assign the condition to full up/down elevator instead of a switch. Full deflection will activate your condition (increased aileron, less rudder and more up/down)... use no expo on all surfaces since you want the snap to be crisp.

Thanks Derek,

Is this the norm setup? Are you not worried of the condition activating on other occasions? Also will using 0 expo have much affect as when the condition becomes active then you would be in corners already.

Cheers for feedback

I'm not worried about it at all - I've flown with this setup for the past couple of years.

Ditto on Derek's comment.

We fly the same design with the same set-up, learned it from the Japanese pilots.

What do you use for spin condition?

I set up a switch for slightly more elevator, less aileron and more rudder than normal throw.

Thanks , will try it , one thing , will I need to setup 2 seperate conditions ( 1 for positive 1 for negatinve snap rolls ) or is it possible to get a single condition to trigger on both etremes of elevator stick?

thnks

You'll need to set up 2 different conditions. I'm assuming that your plane snaps/spins differently upright versus inverted. I call my conditions - SNAP-UP and SNAP-DN.

RE: snap roll condition

Remember to make your spin condition the last (condition 8) for the selected model. This way it will override the snap conditions you have configured to activate on full up or down elevator.

I have 4 conditions programmed - Normal- Snap UP - Snap DOWN - Spin. Spin condition is always activated with a switch.
