RE: patternship
Hi VB
the focus 2 is nice but maybe something with a wider fuse. Rael |
RE: patternship
Why would you want a wider fuse? Taller maybe but wider? The Focus 2 flies the master schedule with ease.

RE: patternship
Hi
sorry I meant taller. I had a look at the Oxai Models Beryll GP. what is the plane like to fly and will I be able to use it from advanced to F3A Rael |
RE: patternship
I think the Beryll is electric only
|
RE: patternship
No. it is for a 140 to 200 four stroke
but BERYLL EP is an electric model which the BERYLL GP is based on Rael |
RE: patternship
The other problem with the Beryll is that it is 3000US, the Focus is only 749.00. The Glow version is not available yet either. The Focus will comfortably fly the Masters sequence and flies the lower classes better than the Beryll, simply because it is not as tall and doesnt crab into the wind as badly as the newer birds. The new planes are designed for F3a, not the lower classes, sometimes the latest and greatest F3A ship isnt the best for the lower classes,
The Beryll is a great flying plane, however the Focus is more than enough for anything but the new FAI schedules. Arch Stafford |
RE: patternship
If you can still find a genesis, they are proven airworthy or you should go with the new Shinden or Integral. there are build threads on each of these fine models.
Good Luck. Chuck |
