Lance, sorry, I couldn't resist giving you that nickname. For those of you who don't get the joke, you haven't seen enough Seinfeld reruns. After flying was finished we all enjoyed an expertly prepared Crawfish dinner with all the fixins. We were also entertained by Bryan Hebert and Brett Wickizer putting on some impressive demonstration flights with Nat Penton's Voodoo Express. Pictures to follow, and I'll update this again with final standings tomorrow.

I don't remember if it is one of the ones in picture 2, but an e-powered Astral was lost today, may it rest in peace. Also I believe the airplane lost by Neil Hont is the Temptation shown in picture 3.

After the flying was done, we all kicked back, relaxed, and enjoyed some of that fine Cajun cuisine. The last picture is Nat Penton's Voodoo Express flown by Brett Wickizer on a low knife-edge pass over the runway. My only regret is I didn't get a picture of the REALLY low pass.

It was a very nice contest. It was pretty stiff competition in my class (Intermediate) I just couldn't seem to fly my way out of 5th place for some odd reason. lol.

I had to leave early today, hopefully Jon Martin will get on here and post the final results. I know he said he has plenty of photos to post. The weather was perfect, and the turnout was great. If everyone thought this contest was big... wait till the Cajun Nats. Jon is going all-out for that one.

Many thanks to Jon, Jim and all those who helped with the Food, Festivities and Flying! I had a great time, and hopefully I'll be able to keep my landing gear from folding in the future.

Had a great time.
Thanks to Jim Thompson and Brian Hebert for holding the Dixie contest and Jon Martin and the RAMS club for hosting it at their field. What a great event.

BTW Matt - just a small correction. Nat's plane is the 3-D Express not his VooDoo Express. What a weekend for me to forget my video camera [:@]
