tracer for speed

i was thinking about getting a tracer ad building it for speed but am unsure if its capable of handling it, or if its the ideal airframe for it. i have a fox 46 thats pulling the engine stand over to get at something. the 46 is the largest engine that the tracer recomends, plus i was thinking about pipeing it. but, the tracer is a "pattern plane" does it have a thin airfoil adn go fast with out fluttering its self to bits?

i dont want one of them flying wing looking things, adn like the "real" airplane look of the tracer. any other ideals for airframes would be ok.

RE: tracer for speed

I have a GP Tracer and have been underwhelmed by it and wouldn't say it is particularly fast. I've had a 46Fx, Jett 76, and now a Supertigre 51 with a Tower muffler. The Supertigre seems to have worked out the best.
