Hi Papaone,

How goes the weather in the South-East of France ????......
Here in Manitoba we've 25 gusting 35 kts for 3 days ....... and 2 squall lines today !!!........

I hope French team will have good results .....
I'm very impatient to see some videos of the Axiome .... the design's very special, don't really like it, and I hope it fly very well ... choose performance or design ... that's the question .....

All the best to all the team ...

Hi Badboy

Today there is a lot of wind Mistral. But sun shines (26 degré this afternoon)
I don't like the look of Axiome. I prefer simple design

How does Silvestri's biplane handle the windy conditions? Is there enough power?

Anybody seen some results after the first round?

Hi,
no results are published yet, but the Italian Team reports that Silvestri won the first flight!!!

BTW of course these results means nothing, we have to wait the end of the preliminary flights to have a true ranking.

Is Roland Matt not competing again? I thought I saw his name on a plane in one of the galleries. Isn't he defending champion?

Jon, your memory is well.
CPLR is the defining European Champion.
The Bryl with Roland Matt name on it belongs to Ohad Zarko of Israel team
Which purchased it from a Swiss guy who purchased previously from Roland.

after round 3

SILVESTRI Sebastiano ITA 1504.60
PAYSANT-LE ROUX Christophe FRA 1486.40
BESCHORNER Bernd GER 1396.80

Seba round 3 score...545.80....impressive!

It does look like a close competition.

Who's ya money on?

The scores are not up for the last two panels for everyone, its hardly fair to compare a panel 4 score to a panel 3 score.

Its highly likely that Silvestri's lead will be short lived, seems that panel 4 is giving away much larger scores than panel 3.

very true and im not trying to imply that there is any clear leader at the moment.

An italian flying in a italian championship...his lead may be a bit longer lived than you think....maybe;):D

China did get the most olympic medals after all...:)

and Quique was originaly from Argentina... co incedentaly

I agree, anyway Silvestri's third flight was a real masterpiece. He almost didn't make the slightest error and the counterrotating props are a definite plus for him. The slow, constant speed of his bipe is awesome and the slower you fly, the easier is for the judges to spot your mistakes, so...
Just two remarks about these Championships: 2.4 GHz is here to stay and IC engines are about to go forever. The new flight schedules are very well suited to electrics and also the new rules, where you have a very short time to start your engine/motor and have it run reliably, mean doomsday for the glow engines.

I apologize for my english but I'm italian (a bloody model magazine editor...) and I'm just trying to do my best.

Have a good day

Dear Editor,
For me your English is very well.
"The Opera do not finish until the Fat Lady sings..."
Don’t forget we are just at round 4 of preliminaries...
So "Hold your horses..." Allot of Nitro will be burned and many electrons will transport from the - to + until
we reach a stage to make a conclusion whose doomsday is it....
