Very nice!

The tail needs to be a little larger, and a little more girth between the canopy and tail, IMO. Also, with the tail being off center from the fuse centerline as it is, it will look very odd rolling. Overall, wonderful concept, a little tweaking should yield a very unique airplane!

Surprized that you guys like the looks... even today.
It was draw in June 2005!
Found it last night whilst cleaning up.

David,

Nifty design. At first glance it reminds me of the Somenzini/Guerin/Someone in Argentina Brio offered by Piedmont Models in 2005. Here is a photo of my Guerin built Brio from the 2006 NATS. My model was powered by the Webra 1.45 and Dave Lockhart superduper custom "pitched" APC prop.

DB ... she looks sexy ... the tilted rudder hinge line is interesting, I read somewhere if its done in the correct manner it helps holding a KE. Also, is it not better to have the wing on the FRL? Why is yours below? What is the difference between having it very near or on the FRL and so far below? The concave belly makes it very sexy ... how would you propose for it to be constructed? Composite? :)

Oh guys, just to set the records straight, absolutely no aerodynamic engineering has gone into this, I'm an artist/designer[sm=spinnyeyes.gif]... not a engineering/designer[sm=cool.gif]
It's draw purely for looks. I'd have to hand it over to somebody that knows the science to answer the questions
She's a looker though.
Some where I had the 3/4 view of the cowl intake... and the pipe tunnel vents... all inspired by 1000 year old Moorish designs.
I was inspired to draw it after reading the discription of the Arabic Dancing girls (belly dancers) by a 18th century English gentleman traveller.
Thus the curves. The key word I held in my head was "Harem".
As I said I'm an artist... not a rational thinking engineer!
I wanted to get a vailed, exotic/erotic look.
Seeing it years later... it looks more beefy... obviously an image of some great hunk of a Eunuch must have crept in there somehow.
