nice pictures of the landing gear

I used the cg they called foron the plans 130 or 135 something like that
but that will change now since I am moving the throttle servo back into the fuse

Here is a picture of the throttle servo after 2 flights 2 screws decide to leave the mount
problem with the header and tunnel I am not going to get the hatori pipe so must figure a way to divert exhaust out
need a silcone tube or something still thinking

i guess that the heat melted the covering , i did a nother cg and after glassing the botem the cg cam out at 125 . every thing is done now i am wating for a calm day , now it is 4pm and is a bit to windy for this new plane . hopefuly the wind calms down later this evning.

it got a little warm there and that was flying with the tunnel off
some kind of fix is coming just haven't thought of it yet
I had less than 5 mph of wind and it flew great no trim on the ailerons at all
I was a little nose heavy but I didn't worry about it
the takeoff was a great
first landing was good , second landing into a little breeze caused the plane to drift a little sideways and baloon up a little
other than that i was happy

<span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes"><font face="Times New Roman"> </font></span></span><span style="FONT-FAMILY: Arial; FONT-SIZE: 10pt">well the madin went ok, it was a bit nose heavy and when i got it in the air it was grate, responsive and listened to all my inputs . then the extended needle went in and out changing the mixture from all the vibrations , after about 10 min flight I went for a landing it was picture perfect. I was happy. On the second flight I did take out the extension and drilled a hole for the low mixture, but I guess I did not richen it enough and the engine quit 15 feet in the air into the second flight. And down it went the right landing gear went back threw the wing and split the ply wood for the landing gear, well back to the garage for repairs will post some pics tomorrow.

is there a lot of damage
I have to readjust my rubber mounts on mine
I just moved the throttle servo in the fuse hitech 225 BB servo small size fits well

now that i looked at it today fresh , it is not that bad , the cap landing gear split in half and went backwards because i had to natow it to fit in the space and used two screws in the center instead of three in a triangle patern. epoxied the botem of the tray and it is good to goo. i founf out this morning that on the intake to the hear the oring came out and was sucking air , was this the problem i dont know need to look at saito forum,

its good that you will be able to fix your plane without to much trouble
thosoe o-rings will always be a major pain in the !*!
I got my throttle servo done now just waiting for the winds to slow down some
got to work on the idle also some more

I did some engine tunning and thought it was okay at that time with the new throttle servo placement it was okay
so I took off and flew around the engine was a little rough yet on the top end
the winds were 10 mph right down the runway it was a little bumpy flight

Well I bounced my plane off the ground yesterday
knocked the landing gear out and the nose off and the wing bolts hold down area is damaged
no damage to the wing
it is repairable after looking at it closer
couldn't get the idle down slow enough to land kept floating
oh well bring back old faithful the cap 21 to fly

i got a chanse to fly yesturday and it was good i am still learning about the saito 125 , it is strange to me over the 2 stroke. i came for a landing and prop hit the ground with no problems , but when i went to restart it it would not fire up.

did the engine stop running when the prop hit or did it keep running
check the engine not running turn it by hand and listen for any strange sounds or rough or hard to turn by hand
if the prop strike hit hard enough you may have bent one of the push rods
check the valves and clearance also
make sure glow plug is okay a Saito are nown to run a little hot than others
these are just of a few starting points

On the same day I flew my u can do 46 with a gms 61, and the engine quit after i landed , the next day i took it apart and the os #8 plug was destroyed. but the saito plug was fine. I looked at it and adjusted the valves and set the low needle to factory settings and it fired up with no problems what was the problem I do not know, but I broke one rubber mount , I ordered two new sets that my niece is bringing here on the 10th of July. my friend videoed the flight with a cell phone as soon as I get it I will post it. her are some pics of damage and repair.

Okay I saw the tach read 8640 rpm
it sounded okay after watching the video
I see why you have the big landing gear
at the end a pass or two before you landed it sound like the engine got a little ruff while running (rich setting)
other than that it looked and sounded okay
how is the vertical preformance I thinking pretty good
I see you are testing with the cowl and tunnel on
I left mine off for the first couple of test flights
I still am having a little problem with the engine setting on the top end
I think I am going to a 15/8 or 15/10 prop I was hitting over 10400 on the ground

good to here that , my neice is comming here friday from new york and should have it flying this weekend. i think i over titend the motor mount on the engine side and it squished the rubber so it broke , well just testing it it is all new to me f3a plane and a 4 stroke at the same time . but i think it will be worth it.

Hi again, I finally got it up and running and got most of the kinks out, but then I found out that I was having a problem with air in the fuel line. so i tried out what i was told to put foam around the tank on the 4 stroke it was making the clunk jump and grab air , with the foam it was a day and night difference . Now I am going to put a big cotton filter as I have in my gas plane. I got the plane trimmed out with a little up elevator .and when I was flying very slow the plane went up. i see that the rubber engine mounts are flexing up and down at different throttle positions , i think i will gust mix in a little throttle and elevator to cure that. and the knife edge is rock solid . this is the first plane that i have that has good vertical with 10% nitro and extra 6 oz oil it will just keep on pulling up. so all in all i am happy with the leo 110 , still need to learn more about the saito 125 , it sure is different the my 2 strokes and gas engines , will post my new vid when i get if from my friend. let me know how is your coming out.

good to here your plane is coming along
I put foam under my fuel tank and it fixed the problem like you had
I have the same problem with the engine mount flexing at different speeds mainly at landing speed the engine vibrated at low speed
I found out the fuel tank is a little on the small size havent got the routine down pat yet
inverted flight was great
I had to much rudder in the beginning I could do knife edge loops with no problem, so I dialed in so expo and made it less touchy
I just got done fixing the nose after I bent it up on landing man I hate Lite Ply wood
If you want to see that saito 125 really hop put some 20/20 fuel mix in it WoW !!!
other wise just fly the 10 that engine is big enough to pull that plane around
I had to take time away from my pattern flying to help train a new student

here are a few pics from last nights flight, well i can say that the saito is getting better and better , i put a whole hell moore oil if the fule just to be sure i do not have any problems , i am gooing to shim up the motor to see if that helps with the flux ing engin befor i put in a rigid mount.as you see i broke the whele pant it is plastic and did not hold epoxy

well I got the firewall back in place I don't know how she will fly now
those saitos like 15 to 20 % nitro and at least 20 oil
they would like more nitro but that cost way to much
make sure you keep with in the rpm spec's
play around with some different props also
