Dr. Jekyll Pattern plane ??'s

Hi,

I just acquired a Dr. Jekyll PHD 2 meter plane and was wondering if anyone can tell me the location of C.G. and recommended control throws.

Thanks for any help.

Regards,

Adil

Adil:

The plans show 0-0 for the wing and stab, 1 degree down thrust for the engine.
The CG is 7 and 7/8" behind the leading edge of the wing. This is in front of the wing tube. There does not appear to be any control throw guidelines.
The plans show the 20 oz fuel tank on the CG.

I purchased one a year ago constructed (i.e. Ready to Fly). I initially used a .91 FX and it flew very well, but it needed more power. It can fly the P03, but with some problems in figure 9.
Two months ago I changed the engine by a 1.60 FX. And now it really has the power!!!

I do not remember my actual control throws, so I will check them and then will send it to you.

Jekyll

Hi,

Thank you very much for the info. I actually just purchased this plane myself. It is Chip Hyde's personal plane that he flew and is very nice. I have powered it with a OS 120 surpass III with a pump and it should do well.

Can't wait for some flying weather to take her up.

Regards,

Adil

Hi Adil:

Finally, I took the measurements (all in millimeters):

Ailerons High Rate: 15 mm. Up and 10 mm. Down.
Ailerons Low Rate: 15 mm. Up and 10 mm. Down.

Elevator High Rate: 20 mm. Up and 23 mm. Down.
Elevator Low Rate: 13 mm. Up and 15 mm. Down.

I forgot Channel four ...

I use High Rate only for Snaps and to enter in Spin.

120 Surpass III

Hello there Adil.

I just bought a 120 Surpass III for the Typhoon 909 I'm building.
Please post or send me a mail telling how it worked once you test it!
What prop/fuel/exhaust will you use?
Thanks!

Rene: Goloso, a puesto que vuelas a 1/3 de motor ahora! Tengo todo el conjunto de cola y un ala 100% lista! Esta quedando la raja. Saludos!
