pattern plane

hello all

i am thinking to sell my active 90 and buy a new plane

i can spend +/- €500 for the plane

i dont like electrics so my first priority is to use a glow motor with pipe or perhaps in cowl solutions

so you guys have anything in mind ?

thx

For the money you are looking at. Venus II with an OS 1.20AX and sport digitals. There are a lot of different muffler options in the venus II thread. Good flying plane.

Are you looking for a two meter? ARF or kit? Or already built. On a two meter the plane rarely is the largest cost. Servos. Engines and such go up exponentially on a 2 meter plane.

I highly recommend you look at the Northeast Aerodynamics Aquila. It's by far the most airplane you can put behind a 120AX or similar. Very light for it's size, it presents better than what you typically bolt a 120. It's only slightly smaller than a Focus II. It will accomodate a 140 size engine if you want to, but it really doesn't need it. Needs very little mix, and locks a line quite qell. It's also a very effortless airplane in slow and point rolls, having a very light work load with the rudder. Snaps very well, stops on a dime and has a very positicve spin entry and recovery.

CA has a couple of promesing planes. I've seen the Epsilon 90 in action, and it flies great.

A friend of mine had the CA Epsilon 90, and is now flying the Venus II... He really likes the Venus, and gives it the thumbs up, powered by an Ys110.

Did you have any preferances on kit, ARF, glass or wood?
As builders kit, MK has a few great models..
Also, Fliton does have a couple of good looking machines. And the Hyperion Katana F3A 90?
I would also try to get hold of Hirobo retailers.... (Astral XX, Aries etc..).

Good luck anyways. There are a lot of good 90-size planes out there.... Check out some Japanese sites... Those planes are hard to come by, but most beautiful machines...

If you like to get a 2x2 F3A plan Element 170 ARF wood Versions cost 425 £ or cost 457 € at [link=http://alshobbies.com/shop/lookupstock.php?pc=37073&Desc=]Als Hobbies[/link]. It cost 55 £ to get it to Sweden and did take 4 days. I suppose it is the same price to Greece.
