After a long time not be able to get som flyin I had a chance today just outside my door ....had build a litle thing ..Piaget..from Hobbyking i China I just had to try it ...cold -17,3 deggreds outside ..but..if you want ...
After about 3 minutes both my fingers as well as the smal lipo stop working ...even the ailron servo a smal 4 gr was frozen so it almost didnt move...but the litle plane is safe and my fingers is starting the heat up!

Love the dedication!!!! Have you tried any Glow powered at that temp?

yep when we was younger we was flying all the winter and -20 was not unusual in this days a good airfiled was not common in Norway so a frozen lake was a good choice .

I saw a video from a guy in that area that had 2 1.20 size engines on an ice sled pulling him across one of those lakes. I thought it was neat.

Crazy people...
I fly indoor when the ground is white and temps are below -5... In other words - practically all winter!
Tried flying outdoors once in -12C. My Hitec servos wouldn't have any of it and just stopped working. RIP to that plane!
