Default New software 12fg

What are Futaba thinking a few weeks ago they released a software upgrade for the 8fg so that the main stick units can be recalibrated easily by the user great. So when I saw a new software release for the 12fg yesturday I thought that it would also include this useful function but not so just some obscure mixing changes !!!! what do other 12fg users think???

I think I'm getting ready to buy a T8FG for $480. I was thinking of the 12FG, but see no reson to spend $1000, when the T8FG will do everything I need for less.

Seems like a fairly limited set of changes... rather undeserving for a whole new revision number (2.1 -> 3.0).

I admit I am disappointed too.

I would have welcomed the stick calibration.

On the other hand can you really complain about something you didn't pay for?

The only 12FG upgrade I'd like to see is a backlite screen.... Probably be a bit difficult to make a download for that... lol

There is a 3rd party User Installable Backlite for the 9303. Perhaps the same company makes one for the 12FG.

Thanks, Rich.... There's some 3rd parties that make a unit for the 12FG, and even some that will do it for you (I think). YouTube has some examples... Looks really sweet.

Of course, kiss your warranty good-bye... Guess I'm just too chicken to pull the trigger.

Have a good weekend.... Roger

btw... I wonder where you-know-who is... I miss the comic relief....

Perhaps the mother ship has returned to Remulac.

I am rather annoyed since we still have to send ours back to be "calibrated". I have not upgraded since 1.6 because I do not want the ability to at least sneak in the backdoor to calibrate if I ever need to.

Yes I still have version 1.6 so I can still recalibrate in service using a hex editor

How often has stick calibration been an issue? I have a 14MZ and have not seen a need to recalibrate the stick in the 6 years I've had the radio. Now I have sent it in a few times for normal service, which I guess most people do not do. Seems the norm is to wait until it breaks before sending it in. I take a proactive path and send it in every 2 years or so. Never had an issue with it or my sticks.

Are the 12FG sticks problematic?
