Default Airtronics Expo (RDS 8000)

I have an RDS 8000 bought in November 2009. I recently added a second model. Model 1 is a Tiger 60. Model 2 is a Super Aeromaster bipe. When attempting to go to the Exponential mode on model 2...it simply just does not have it. I dont know how else to explain this. With model #1 I have no problem going to expo mode and setting the expo. Model #2 does not even show expo as a choice. The procedure is as follows.
with the transmitter on, press the ch+ button untileitherEl or AL is displayed. No problem yet. Then use the Function button/key to go to Expo. This works without fail when model #1 is selected. But also without fail it never shows Expo as a choice with model #2. The choices it does give are...STW, REV, D/R, CNT, or EPA. Thats all. Thye only other thing I can tell you is that model #1 is named TIG and model #2 is named AR2. Help please.

Did you turn off the basic menu? Under the ETC menu close to bottom, it will say basic on or off.

Then you should be able to have the full menu of features.

Buzz.

As default every other model is aero or heli.
1,3,5,etc. are aero.
2,4,6 are heli.
The manual explains how to change them to all aero, or heli. Or, any combo you want.

Sure am glad to see that its operator error and not a radio malfunction.  I will check all of the above when I can get to my radio tomorrow.  Thanks for the info fellas.
