Yes!! I have several of these Rx's. You need at least one Remote or Satellite Rx in order to Bind it. Once Bound, you can lose one or both Satellites and still operate the Main Rx, but once you power it Off and On again, you need at least one Satellite Rx in order to communicate with the Main Rx.

One thing to be aware of; if you don't already have a second satellite rx for that R921, DO NOT buy a DSMX satellite it must be a DSM2 satellite as you cannot mix DSM2 and DSMX rx's and satellites....
