No, the best thing to do is get some channel 37 crystals for you plane receivers.

No, not the best thing to do if your other Rx's are all Futaba as these are what Futaba calls hi band RX's (tunned to the center of the top half of the band) and your new Tx is below ch35 (ch 26) Futaba reccomends not changing Rx CH's from low to high or vice versa without retunning. This only applies to Futaba Rx's none of the others have this problem.

Since it is illegal to change Tx channels without retunning possibly your best option is to send in your Tx for rechanneling to 35 depending on how many Futaba Rx's you have.

Going another 2 channels isn't going to harm anything on the receivers. I have several low band Futaba receivers that (coincidentally) are now on channel 37, with no range issues. Trust me, I know all about high and low band, but 2 channels difference isn't going to make any dramatic (or even noticeable) impact on performance.

Possibly So but my preference would not be to suggest that to anyone without explanation so they could make their own decision to ignore the manufacturers recomendation.

Futaba breaks the band into upper and lower to further improve response and cut out interference. I guess it depends on how you look at this to whether it is a problem or not.

I've talked with flyers who have used the Futaba system for control for many years trouble free. Follow the rules and have fun. The pleasure's received from trouble free flight "big time" outweigh the cost of playing.

Get the right radio and the right crystal. And stay with Futaba!

Have fun flying!!!!
