Default Changing frenquency Xtals


I realize you can change Rx crystals, but can you change Tx crystals on say a Futaba 6XAs without having the radio retuned?

That would be illegal and there are important reasons beyond just whether or not your radio will work after the change that also could affect our use of the band.

Default Changing frenquency Xtals

Changing TX xtal's is illegal. In practice it works fine and is fairly common, but usually stirs up a lot of controversy. If you're flying with a club or large group it's probably best to stick with the rules.
