Default HK-SS100A Vs. SK5065-380

Dear all...

I have the engine SKU: SK5065-380 link: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=7070
And the speed SKU: HK-SS100A and link: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=7341

The speed has 3 black wires and the engine has a yellow wire on the left, a black wire on middle and a red wire on right...

Does anyone knows the right combination of wires?

I've tried the speed middle wire to the engine's yellow wire and a few other combination, but the speed not even beeps, no sound, zero!

Please help.

Thank you
Mauricio.

Generally it does not matter which wire from the ESC controller goes to a specific wire of the motor except that you may have to swap any two to change directions after you get it running.

Do you have a charged LIPO of the right voltage connected to the ESC?

Do you have the ESC Rx lead plugged in the correct polarity to your Rx?

Is the RX getting power and is bound to your TX?

Did you do the ESC arm process with your Rx and Transmitter if the ESC has one?

Do this stuff with no prop on the motor so you do not get hurt. Also, when you get it working, do not run the motor at full throttle without a prop load.

Good luck

Pretty sure that esc does not have a bec, so you will need a seperate receiver battery. Also, you need to calibrate the throttle, and if you have a Futaba radio, you may need to reverse the throttle channel.
You can find the set-up instructions under "file" tab at the bottom of your link.

Shouldn't it beep even w/o been connected to the receiver?
