Default FUTABA 12FGA Questions

I bought a 12FGA radio new on 12-28-07 it is 2.4 system. I just got around to opening it and charged it up. I was reading the manual which has a few areas that are not addressing the product I bought. It does not speak of the 2.4 system and reciever that I got? I looked on the Futaba site but found No newer manual.

My first question is there a new manual?

My second question is the 1GB SD card all it can use? or can a 2GB or 4GB SD card be used?

My third question is How many models can be storred on a 1GB Card?

The included manual is the only printed version. Software updates include PDF pages containing the changes. I will attempt to attach PDF's here.

It is my understanding that applying the latest update includes all previous updates. If my files are correct there have been three software updates (07/15/2010, 12/09/2010 and 03/10/211)

According to Futaba's spec sheet the 1gb card holds 1,882 models. Need more?

LOL , Thanks for the attachments. No I don't need more models. I can't find any stores that have that small of a SD card 2GB was the smallest I could find and was wondering if it would work. I kinda doubt it though. I just though that there be 1GB cards everywhere but I went to Staple, Office Max, Best Buy, CVS Drug, Office Depot and 2GB was the smallest.

I've had a 2gb card in mine since day one. It works fine and holds over 3600 models. People laugh when I show them the model memory screen

If it's been sitting for three years, you might want to cycle the battery a few times and check the capacity. Or just buy a new one.....

I purchased my 12FG in 12/2008 and the manual still didn't have anything about the 2.4 stuff. That information was included in a separate bag of addendum pages that was also in the box.

The 2GB card works just fine. You can still find them for less than $10.

Since a 2GB card only holds 3746 models, you might want to pick up a spare card so you won't accidentally run out of model selections.

Seriously, get one 2GB card to leave in the transmitter, and another to store and transfer the software updates from your PC to the 12FG. I think the latest software version is 3.0, although I'm still running 2.1 in both of my 12FG transmitters.
