Are all servos and receivers compatible with each other these days? Do the new servo plugs fit in all new receivers?

RE: RECEIVER COMPATABILITY
Yes, but the plugs on Futaba servos have the extra orientation tab on one side of the plug that has to be shaved off to fit receivers other than Futaba and Hitec. All other servos will fit any receiver.

. Servo - Wiring Diagrams = use with other brand RX.
However, there are some exceptions with the voltage levels required :

. Jittering servos on 6V - different brand voltages on signal line

. Jitter - Is RX set for High Resolution Digital Servo or Analogue Servo where applicable
. Micro servo with JST plugs are not always interchangeable as besides difficulty in obtaining
replacement plugs, thedriving voltagemay also vary, see picture.

Servo - Lead Wire Gauge (all) & Servo Plugs including Micro JST & PicoBlade

Four and Fivewire servoscannot be used on "three wire"port receivers
andare not always interchangeable between brands.
Thisas they are controlled from the receiver "block",
not independant boards inside the servo.

Futaba R6004FF 2.4GHz FASST Air Indoor Micro 4-Ch Rx = intended for mini/micro servo only.
Always check manufacturers specifications and recommendations for use of both the receiver and servos to be used.
General rule of thumb, if the RX is AOK with S-148, S3003 etc then good to go with equivalent HS-300, HS-422 etc,
refer relative servo charts.

RE: RECEIVER COMPATABILITY
Sorry, that is not the case. The R6004FF accepts standard servo plugs and can be used with any normal servo. True, the range is limited to about 300M.
The r616FFM requires the use of micro servos with no standard servo plugs.

Did not mention that a standard servo could not be used and please refer to the information provided via
link on that post and as per previous post.

Futaba R6004FF 2.4GHz FASST Air Indoor Micro 4-Ch Rx = intended for mini/micro servo only as below
. "This is the Futaba R6004FF 2.4GHz FASST 4-Channel Micro Receiver.
Compatible with the following FASST transmitters; 6EX, 7C, and the
following transmitter modules; TM7, TM8 (on 7 channel mode),
TM10 (on 7 channel mode) and TM14 (on 7 channel mode).
FEATURES: Designed for short range application such as indoor aircraft only
Limited flight range of 300 ft (91.4m) maximum
Compatible with standard size connectors only"
"Compatible with standard size connectors only"
i.e. intended for the majority of mini/micro servo which are supplied with S-01 or J plugs in lieu of JST.
- Micro servos fitted with the three different JSTplugs, shown in picture available post#4 are not common/popular.
- cannot imagine anyone using standard size servo in a typical indoor or such short range model.
