Default 7202 Heli for Aircrafty use

Can I use the 7202 Heli version for Aircraft use?

Are these versions software specific for heli or air?

Sure, just select airplane mode in the programming.

The only difference is maybe the 3 position switch position and the throttle won't have a ratchet.

Hi Barracuda,

So, what I understand you saying is the aircraft programming is already in the radio. I can live without the ratchet.

What about the three position switch, Does it perform a different function when programming is changed to airplane compared to the native aircraft radio?

Could you explain more.

Having not messed with that particular radio my answer may not be 100 percent accurate but in general with the JR stuff that I am very familair with it goes like this.

The top of the transmitter has a 3 position and two position switch, with airplanes this is classically the flap (3pos) and retract switch. On radios with the A designation the 2 position is on the left and the 3 pos on the right and of course the throttle has the clicker. On the H designated radios the 3 pos is on the left side and the two position is on the right, and no clicker on the throttle. We use the 3 position for flight modes and the two position for throttle hold.

As for the programming in relation to the switches nothing really changes other than if you're using an A version your flap switch is (probably) on the left instead of the right.

I pulled the manual and it shows programming for both Airplane and Heli mode.

Thank you for your assistance. I was able to find one aircraft model out of ebay.
