All my 617's receivers are made in Taiwan none are made in China, and I get them from USA hobby shops on Ebay. Have never seen a 617 made in China, only thing made in China is Frsky FAAST compatable RX's as far as i know.

I just bought one from Tower and I am having a problem getting it to link to my transmitter. The manual says it is compatible; anyone have the same problem. I have the 8TF transmitter. I just looked at the box and the receiver is made in China. Any thoughts?

Make sure 7CH modulation is showing on the main screen, not MultiMode. That's the most likely problem.

What's an "8TF" transmitter? Certainly not a Futaba unit, not with that designation. Did you make a typo?

I have several R617FS receivers and they all came from Tower Hobbies. Some say made in Taiwan, some say made in China. They look and perform exactly the same.
